What I’ve Bought For Baby

When we first found out we were having a baby, I went into full panic mode about all of the things we’d need to buy. What I soon realized was that I don’t have to do it all at once, and that has been such a relief! We’ve been slowly stocking up on newborn must-haves, so I thought I’d share what I’ve bought for baby so far.

Nuna PIPA Car Seat // This car seat came up a lot in my research with tons of positive reviews. We decided to go with the regular car seat instead of the Lite version because this one can be strapped in without the base if needed.

Nuna Mixx2 Stroller // We got lucky and were able to find a like-new Nuna Mixx2 stroller on Facebook Marketplace. It is so similar to the Nuna Mixx Next, and easily compatible with the car seat we got.

Bassinet // The number one piece of advice I’ve heard is to not spend a ton of money on a bassinet. On the other hand, I have heard a few people gush about the Snoo, but I’d just prefer to spend that money on other things. We love the basket-style bassinet that we received as a gift, and it comes to about $150 with the stand.

DaVinci Colby 4-in-1 Crib // We love this crib! We wanted something very simple and clean that could grow with Blob. This one can be converted to a toddler bed, day bed and full-size bed.

IKEA HEMNES Dresser // I swear every nursery has this dresser. I like how many drawers it has and that I can store clothes, as well as diapers, books and more in here.

Closet System // We installed an adjustable closet system so that we can space out the clothing rods and shelves as Blob grows and needs more space.

BIBS Pacifiers // Could I have purchased much more affordable pacifiers? Yes, I could have. Whatever, I think these ones are too cute to pass up.

Dr. Brown Bottles // Another item that came up a lot in my research was this set of bottles. Every baby is different, and we’ll see if these work when the time comes, but these did have great reviews.

BABYBJÖRN Bouncer // Every mom I’ve talked to that has used this bouncer absolutely raved about it. Apparently, it is a necessity if you want to shower, cook or do anything at all besides hold baby.

Clothes // I’m mind-blown that I haven’t bought baby many clothes, but it’s true. I’ve grabbed a few cute onesies and pants, but knowing that I’m having a summer baby, I feel like Blob won’t spend much time in clothes at first. A few things I’ve purchased that I’m loving are some Kyte Baby bodysuits (SO soft), H&M bodysuits (great price) and H&M joggers (too cute).

I feel like most of what we’ve bought for baby so far is going to be necessary right away, and there are a few other things on my wish list that I plan to get in the next few months to be prepared.

Wish List

Keekaroo Peanut Changer // Wipeable and comfy for baby? Yes, please.

SpearmintLOVE clothes // Such cute baby clothes and prints. I, of course, love the neutrals.

Miracle Swaddle // Another item I’ve heard great things about.

I’m also still looking for a bath seat, high chair and plan to stock up on the smaller items, like wipes and creams, soon. Anything you think I’m missing? Let me know!
