Nice to meet you, I’m Sammy Hill.
For years and years, I would read my favourite blogs and dream about having a space of my own to create, share and connect. In the summer of 2019, I took the plunge, and let me tell you, I really dove right into the deep end.
I started SammmyHill.com in August 2019 and that October, I left my cushy job to truly pursue my passion. I knew that if I wanted to make this work, I’d need to be all in. While I do still freelance marketing on the side to support my business, I pour my heart and soul into this blog every day!
When I’m not blogging, I’m spending time with my boyfriend, Kirby, my daughter, Mara, and my rescue dogs, Odie and Fenn. We live and work in a 1960s fixer-upper in Kelowna, BC, that we’ve renovated almost top to bottom at this point. I love Kelowna and will likely never leave.
My lifestyle blog has become a place that I share the honest and real musings of my daily life, as well as style tips, shopping guides, my wellness journey, career insights and home decor finds. Pregnancy and baby content has also made it’s way into the blog thanks to Mara! My mission is to entertain and inspire, by giving you a short escape from reality along with some of my favourite finds from the Internet. You can always count on me to tell it like it is and keep it real and unfiltered.
Something that is important to me is that SammmyHill.com always depict the journey, and not only the destination. As an avid blog reader, I’ve always appreciated reading about how someone got to where they are today and what it took to get there. It’s cool that you can afford Golden Goose sneakers and 17 Barefoot Dreams blankets, but like, how did you get to this point? I promise to bring you along for the whole journey, from the early days of my business when we’re selling every single thing we don’t need on Marketplace, to the day that Kirby and I can build our dream home and hire staff. I hope you’ll be along for the ride!
