Welcome to Season Two

Season Two. What is it? Why am I being so extra? Let me clear this up.

I’ve felt off in my journey as a lifestyle blogger over the last year or so, and I knew it was time to give myself a fresh start. Growth in my audience and income has been my goal for some time. I’ve tried the tips and tricks and, spoiler alert, they didn’t work. With my limited time (motherhood and other work have consumed me), I was so focused on growth that at some point, I stopped creating content that I actually liked.

Simply put, the strategy became the most important thing when it came to posting content, and that held me back from creating things that made me happy. I stopped posting food or product-based photos because they didn’t perform well. I felt the pressure to post every day, even if I wasn’t totally happy with the product.

Lifestyle blogger Sammy Hill shares the why behind her Season Two.

There have been times that I’ve considered posting content that isn’t really ‘in my lane’ (like creator tips) because I saw that those posts were helping other creators to grow. When I noticed myself doing this, that’s when I recognized that I needed to reevaluate what I was sharing.

I dug in and spent some time redefining my personal brand and what I want my content to look like. Several moodboards and a lot of contemplation later, I feel like I’ve found my groove and I wanted a special way to kick off this fresh start. That’s where Season Two comes in to play.

Season Two is dedicated to creating cool + quality content that makes me happy and makes you happy, too. I want to share authentic, natural + inspiring content that either looks cool, entertains, or teaches you something.

The two main concepts of Season Two are this:

+ Not budget, not bougie. When it comes to my style, home, and life in general, I feel like I’m not budget, not bougie, but somewhere in between. If you feel like you can relate to that, I think you’ll dig what’s to come.
+ Evolution is okay + encouraged. Just because you’ve been a ‘neutrals person’ or a ‘bad cook’ doesn’t mean you always will be. My style, my priorities, and my lifestyle have changed, and I want to take you on that journey with me. Come along for the ride as I learn how to cook, how to be a mom, and what my new, 30-year-old style looks like.

I feel excited and refreshed for Season Two. I’m using this as an opportunity to connect further, to let you see my personality and my life a little bit closer.

If you have read my blog posts, purchased through my affiliate links, or even liked my Instagram photos, I can’t thank you enough. I hope that you find the same or better value or entertainment in Season Two!
