My Thoughts on a Lash Lift and Brow Tint

My last few visits to Smooth Effects Kelowna have been all about skin, but this time around, we focused on enhancing some other features: my lashes and brows!

The first treatment that we did this month was a lash lift and tint. I had never really considered doing any sort of treatment to my lashes because they’ve always been really long and full, but on a previous visit, Smooth Effects Kelowna owner, Kelsey, mentioned that a lash lift works best on long lashes! So, I thought I’d give it a try.

Post Lash Lift – look at that curl!

The process was fairly simple and took about 45 minutes. Kelsey first applied the lift treatment to my lashes, which bends the lash at the root. Next, she applied the tint to slightly darken my lashes. There are two different treatment options, natural and dramatic, and I opted for the natural look.

The results were a nice little bend in my lashes, which gave my eyes a nice, wide open look. I often have lashes going in every direction, so it was nice to see them all uniform and not poking my eye for once – lol.

The lash lift lasts about 6-8 weeks and there is no maintenance, which is nice. You can still wear mascara to amplify your lashes as well, but I found that the lift gave me lashes that didn’t require mascara to open up my eyes.

About a week later, I returned to Smooth Effects Kelowna for a brow wax and tint. I’ve never had my brows tinted, so this was new to me!

The process was so quick and easy. Olivia applied the tint first so that any tint that fell outside of the brows would be cleaned up with the waxing. She then waxed my brows just enough to clean them up. I’ve been into the bigger, bushier brows lately, so she kept them in tact for me!

I love the final results. Clean, dark and easy to maintain. Seeing the tint on when she was applying it was scary (lol) but they came out looking fresh!
