If you’ve been following my skincare journey with Smooth Effects Kelowna, you know that it has taken me a very long time to take my skin seriously and treat it well. Now that I’ve made my skin a priority and created a skincare routine, I am much more vigilant about taking care of my body’s largest organ.
Getting into a solid routine has been difficult, but when I look in the mirror and see improvements in my skin, I know that it’s worth it. Here’s a peak at what my current everyday skincare routine looks like.
Morning Routine
- Cleanse face with Drunk Elephant Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser
- Apply LANEIGE Water Bank Moisturizer, sometimes with Isle of Paradise Dark Tanning Drops
Pretty freaking simple, I know. It has taken me a long time to actually get into the habit of even washing my face in the mornings, so I take this as a success, but I would love to add a good Vitamin C serum to my morning routine as well!
Evening Routine
- Remove makeup with Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water and Cotton Pads
- Cleanse face with Drunk Elephant Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser
- Twice per week I will combine Drunk Elephant A-Passioni™ Retinol Cream and Drunk Elephant B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Serum
- Apply LANEIGE Water Bank Moisturizer
- Apply L’oréal Revitalift Eye Cream
I’m so proud of how I’ve kept up my evening routine! Years ago, I totally went to bed with my makeup on. NEVER AGAIN. I love getting into bed with a clean, fresh and hydrated face.
When I have time and I’m feeling it, I also like to add a good face mask into my evening routine. Some of my favourite masks to add into my skincare routine are:
- LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask
- The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Mask
- Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
- Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask
I feel like I’ve got the cleanser and moisturizer part of my skincare routine locked down, but I’m definitely in the market for a good toner and a serum that I really like. Any suggestions? With the Sephora sale hopefully coming this month, I want to be ready to snag some great products!
