How To Snap Out of a Bad Mood

I kicked this week off in a very bad mood. I have no idea why, there is no specific reason. I woke up one morning and saw that Kirby had pulled most of the blanket over onto his side of the bed and that was it for me – lol.

I struggled to get work done, to exercise and to clean the house because I was just grumpy. It’s so silly, but a bad mood can really ruin your productivity and I don’t know about you, but I don’t have time for that!

How To Snap Out of a Bad Mood

So I asked my IG audience for some tips to snap out of a bad mood and this is what they came up with:

+ Practice yoga

+ Alone time with a glass of whiskey

+ Breathe in some essential oils and listen to music

+ Eat some chocolate (You don’t have to tell me twice!)

+ Take a rest day – we all need one once in a while

+ Accomplish one small and easy task

+ Write down what you’re grateful for

+ Meditate (I like the Headspace App)

+ Dance around to some good music

+ Go for a run or squeeze in a workout

+ Pay for the coffee/meal of someone else

+ Plan a night out with friends

+ Go for a walk in nature

+ Take a hot shower or bath

+ Eat something – are you sure you’re not just hungry?

+ Remind yourself that it’s okay to have an off day – you don’t have to be on all of the time

I’m very happy to say that I did eventually snap out of my bad mood, but sometimes, I just have to accept that I can’t be ‘on’ all of the time. I won’t always be productive, and that’s okay. Chocolate and a hot shower definitely helped as well.
