Since I’ve been working out consistently and eating well, I’ve been trying to also cut down on my alcohol consumption and replace some of those Hey Y’alls and Jack & Cokes with a tasty mocktail.
During the summer especially, it’s so easy to sit around a campfire or on a patio and consume a few two many ciders, which then also makes me want to consume a few unnecessary appetizers. I still enjoy an alcoholic beverage now and then, but when I want to avoid the drinking bloat, I’ll reach for a mocktail with some fizzy water instead!
Here are three of my favourite mocktails that I will be enjoying this summer!
Mango Tangerine Spritz
Perfect for summer, this mocktail is sweet and refreshing, with lots of citrus and fizz.
- 1/2 Glass of Mango Tangerine Juice
- 1/2 Glass of Lime and Watermelon AHA Sparkling Water
- Salted Rim
- A few sprigs of basil
- A squeeze of lime juice
Coconut La Croix + OJ + Mint
This one is so simple, it’s almost too good to be true. Anytime there is some slush in my drink, it feels like I’m enjoying a Bellini, even thought I’m 100% not.
- Mix 2 peeled oranges, 2 cups of ice, 1/2 cup water, 1 TSP agave syrup in a blender.
- Fill a glass 1/2 full with ice, fill to 3/4 with Coconut La Croix.
- Add scoop of Orange slush and a few mint leaves on top.
Root Beer + Grenadine + Mint + Lime
I found this recipe thanks to Pinterest and I am loving it! I had never considered Root Beer for a mocktail, but it freaking works!
- Fill a glass with ice and rub the rim with a mint leaf.
- Pour in Root Beer and add a bit of grenadine.
- Finish with two lime wedges.
Enjoy!
