What My Hair Care Routine Looks Like

Hair care is probably one of my least favourite things to deal with, but makes the biggest difference! I have a lot of hair, and really, drying and styling it is the most annoying part. The process of washing, drying and curling my hair can take from 1-2 hours, or up to 4 hours if I’m air-drying. It’s such a commitment!

When it comes to washing my hair, the less often I have to do it, the better. I typically wash my hair twice per week, going about three days between washes. The third day, my hair is almost always tied up because it’s greasy AF. I have been losing hair quite a bit lately, so I’ve been using this plumping shampoo and conditioner.

I go to the salon (shoutout Paige at Antidote Hair!) every 8-12 weeks, basically when I notice the blonde is really growing out. I get bright blonde balayage and a trim with face-framing layers. Paige is a wizard and nails the cut and colour every time.

For styling, I almost always curl my hair. It never behaves well at the ends when I straighten it, so curling is my go-to. It can be time-consuming, but it’s worth it. I curl my hair with either my curling iron, or my flat iron if I’m in a rush. I shared an IGTV showing how I curl with the flat iron.

Proper hair care is time-consuming, but it’s arguably the most surefire way to look put together and polished. Split ends and flat hair, no thank you!
