Our cabinets have arrived and our new kitchen is well on its way to being complete! I never thought that I would miss being able to wash dishes. Renovations do weird things to you.
As the completion of the renovation is creeping closer, I’m starting to plan for the new pieces I’d like to add to finish the space. Kirby and I decided that since we’ve invested so much in building a gorgeous kitchen, we don’t want to just toss our old dishes, pots and pans back into the cabinets. We want to invest in some great dinnerware, glassware and serving items to compliment the space.
Here are a few of the things that we’d like to add to our new kitchen.
Dinnerware: I’m loving the natural, textured dinnerware lately – the kind that you want to display on a shelf! Here is a set that we are eyeing: Dinner Plates / Side Plates / Bowls / Coffee Mugs
Glassware: I’m not a wine drinker, but I think it’s good to have glasses on hand for guests. We also want to stock up on new drinking glasses. Wine Glasses (for guests!) / Drinking Glasses – Currently have a set like this and still love these!
Fruit Basket: We always buy fruit, throw it in the pantry or fridge and forget about it. I want to have fruit front and center on the counter so that we can easily grab it! Wire Fruit Basket
Flatware: I snagged Kirby a great knife set for Christmas, but we could really use some upgraded forks, spoons and butter knives as well! Rose Gold Flatware
Dish Cloths: It’s probably a good idea to invest in some new dish cloths every so often. I’m liking this tie-dye set. Tie-Dye Set
For Serving: Once the new kitchen is complete, we definitely want to entertain more often. That’s when these serving pieces will come in handy. Rattan Pitcher / Wood Platter
Cookware: Top of Kirby’s list is a cast iron skillet for the new gas range! I’d like a nice new set of ceramic cookware, something pretty enough to hang up. Ceramic Pots & Pans / Cast Iron Skillet
I can’t wait to share the finished space! It’s been such a process, but I know that the end result will be so worth it.
