I feel so incredibly lucky to have celebrated another wonderful Christmas with my friends and family. We played games, went for hikes, enjoyed delicious treats and spent time laughing together.
This year was mine and Kirby’s first full Christmas together. Last year, we had just started dating and he just came to my family’s Christmas dinner, but this year we spent time with both of our families. We started new traditions and made sure to include Odie in the celebrations. It was definitely a Christmas to remember.
I feel very grateful to our families, friends and to Kirby for the wonderful and thoughtful gifts that I received this year. If you’re curious what gifts I found wrapped under the tree, here is what my family spoiled me with!
One of my favourite gifts was a Masterclass Membership. Kirby knew that I DESPERATELY wanted to do the leadership masterclass by Bob Iger, the CEO of the Walt Disney Company, so he gifted me the course. I can’t wait to start!
BaByliss Pro Curling Iron – Kirby got me the one that you can only get from beauty supply stores through a hook up, but this one is very similar.
LANEIGE Products – I’ve been loving my LANEIGE skincare products and was lucky to receive both a full size Water Bank Cream (so hydrating!) and the Hydration Kit.
Makeup Brush Set – Kirby got me a great set of five brushes from Sephora, but I can’t find the exact one online! I’ve linked a similar set here.
Sherpa Jacket – This one is so cozy! It’s perfect for layering with and adds something unique to a warm, winter look.
Knit Sweater – My mom picked out the cutest mock neck, knit sweater for me! I love the oversized fit and the colours are so pretty.
Rosy Toque – My sister got me this rosy pink ribbed toque to pair with my sherpa jacket. I love the pop of colour!
The Ride of a Lifetime Book – More teachings from Bob Iger please! I’ve already started reading this one and it’s so good. This man really does have one of the most interesting jobs in the world.
There were so many other great gifts, including a lululemon GC from Kirby’s mom and her partner and Adobe Photoshop Elements from Kirby’s dad and his wife. Oh ya, and we finally got a Costco membership! I am so grateful for these thoughtful gifts.
And here is what I got for my family:
I went a little crazy shopping for Kirby. His big gift from me was one of the Titleist SM7 Vokey Wedges he wanted. Honestly, I probably could have stopped there and he would have been over the moon excited. He’s dragged me into the garage multiple times since Christmas just so we can look at the golf club together ?.
I also gifted Kirby this knife set, this laptop bag, and this cardigan.
For my sister, Kelsey, we somehow were able to wrap a large suitcase for our next Disney trip! I also got her this toque (I got her the black version, but she has this one too).
My sister’s boyfriend Brad, who is basically my brother, loves rock climbing and my family all went in on a climbing rope for him.
I gifted my mom this sweater that she wanted. I have the same one, so now we match! I also got her a letter board. She wanted inspirational sayings to put up around the house, so I gave her something that she can put any saying she wants on.
My dad is so hard to shop for! He is getting a hip replacement in February and will thankfully be able to get back to some of his favourite activities after that. I gifted my dad this sweater and a Starfrit cuber. This thing is awesome – I want to get one now too!
The best gift that I gave this year was to my mom and dad, and it was from my sister and I. We snuck over to their house while our grandparents had them out for breakfast and we brought paint and canvases and put the paw prints of our family dog, Koda, on them. The prints turned out a bit messy, but you could tell they were Koda’s little paws!
The best gift that I received was getting to spend time with Koda. Two days after Christmas, we had to say goodbye to our friend of over 15 years. Our little old man was struggling to walk and had a few falls that he couldn’t recover from. It was one of the most difficult things we’ve ever been through as a family, but we know he isn’t in pain anymore.
I hope that you had an amazing holiday filled with love and laughter, and special moments with the ones you care for most ??
