Wellness Wednesday: My Current Workout Playlist

My Current Workout Playlist

I’m really starting to miss going to workout classes. Before this whole COVID-19 situation, I was going to Kirby’s bootcamp every week and I was loving the workout and the playlist!

It’s so much easier to lose yourself in a good sweat with great music playing. Although for me, I get a lot more winded because I try to sing along – lol.

I’ve been crushing the BBG program on the SWEAT app (more to come on that) and this workout playlist is helping me power through! This playlist was a collaborative effort between Kirby and I.

Freedom – Kygo – I find it hard not to dance to this song, but it’s the song that I turn to to kick off a run.

Good as Hell – Lizzo – This is a good one to try and convince yourself that you do feel “good as hell” while you’re working out.

Ride It – Regard – I love this song on a run when I’m keeping a pretty even pace.

Light It Up – Major Lazer, Nyla, Fuse ODG – Forever my favourite song to workout to.

Stir Fry – Migos – This is Kirby’s go-to song at all times.

The Box – Roddy Rich – Kirby loves this song for tempo reps.

No Good – KALEO – This guitar in this song has gotten me through a few sets of burpees. Ugh, burpees…

Numb/Encore – Jay Z and Linkin Park – A true workout classic.

Graveyard – Halsey – I love anything Halsey.

Higher Love – Kygo, Whitney Houston – Such a good beat to this song!

Rescue Me – One Republic – It’s a slow build, but I love running to this song. It gets much more high tempo as it goes. Also, sometimes I feel I need to be rescued on a run LOL.

I’m Ready – AJR – Most songs by AJR get me pretty fired up. Kirby and I always listen to AJR on our way to soccer.

What’s Poppin’ – Jack Harlow – “This is just gangster AF.” – Carter Lifestyle Performance

1942 – G-Eazy, Yo Gotti, YBN Nahmir – This song kicked off every single one of my workouts in the summer of 2018, and it’s still on my playlist today!

YES! – Kyle, K Camp, Rich the Kid – Great upbeat tempo that keeps me focused later in a run.

I Like It – Cardi B – I can’t get a good sweat without some Cardi B, can you?!

Trophies – Young Money, Drake – You will feel like you just won a championship working out to this song.

Motiv8 – J Cole – If you need some motivation during your workout, J Cole will give it to you.

Pure Water – Migos – Another one of Kirby’s favourite songs to workout to.

Stupid Love – Lady Gaga – Fuel your workout with a song about love…

What are your favourite songs to workout to or your favourite playlists for a good sweat?!
