Styling CDN’s Thrifted Canadian Collection

Shopping for thrifted items is not one of my strengths, and I’m not afraid to admit that. It’s pretty rare that I have the patience to find a unique, thrifted item that fits well. So when I heard that local company CDN was doing the thrifting for me, AND it was a truly Canadian collection of thrifted items, I was all over that.

CDN believes that Canadian apparel should reflect the diverse group of people that call this country home, and on their mission to design new garments that fit that criteria, they have launched a collection of thrifted items that have a few criteria of their own:

CDN has curated the best selection of Canadian Thrifted Goods, and I’ve styled a few of these great finds for you!

Made in Canada Sears Wool Sweater

Everything comes back in style at some point right? I swear you could find a cozy, colour block sweater just like this original Sears Premiere in nearly any store right now, but the authentic, Made in Canada version, just can’t be beat.

This sweater was nice and oversized on me, so I tucked it into high-waisted jeans, but I would also wear this with some black leggings and pointy-toe boots.

The Weeknd tee

If your personal thrifted collection does not include a concert tee from a Canadian artist like Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne or Shania Twain, are you even a true Canadian?! I opted for The Weeknd tour tee for a bit more edge, paired with ripped black skinny jeans and an oversized leather jacket.

Roots Sweatshirt

Roots is iconically Canadian! Just walking past the store in the mall, I feel a sense of Canadian pride. This thrifted Roots Canada sweatshirt is the real deal, made in Canada and designed for chilly winter days meant for curling up with a cup of tea.

This long sleeve, featuring one of the coolest fitness studios in B.C., reminds me of my mom’s closet when I was little! Are you getting the 90’s vibes too? I rolled up the hem for a cropped look and gave the sleeves a good push as well.

CDN Bamboo Patch Tee

This perfectly soft tee is not a part of CDN’s Thrifted Collection, but it is made, embroidered and designed in Canada! Simple design, a great fit and the softest fabric make this tee perfect for any wardrobe. I like tying my tees in the front to define my waist, and there is plenty of give in this tee to do so.

If you want to feel some Canadian pride, do some good for the environment and add a stylish piece to your wardrobe, make sure to check out the collection online here.
