Small businesses have always had a special place in my heart. Now having my own small business, I understand what other business owners go through and I do my best to support others when I can.
I saw Sydney from TheWorkingGirl.ca share some of her favourite small businesses, and it inspired me to do the same!
Here are a few of my favourite small businesses.
FASHION & JEWELRY
Lavender & Grace – A Kelowna-based jewelry designer, Lavender & Grace offers beautiful necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings. I love the coin necklaces and the Love Bracelet!
gorjana – Another jewelry brand that I love, and love to work with, is gorjana. They have such pretty, dainty pieces.
Boheme Collective – Boheme Collective is a boutique in Kelowna that offers the cutest clothes and accessories from beloved brands like Free People and Levi’s. I got my favourite Lack of Color hat from Boheme Collective!
Scrunchy Monkey – Tess makes the cutest little scrunchies! She makes two sizes and they all come with a small tie that is removable.
HOME
Better Earth Gardens – The best plants in the Okanagan! I wish I was shopping their plant selection right now, but in reality, I’ve been buying crusher chip and dirt from them recently. Check out our exterior reno plans for an idea of why we need all this dirt!
Alchemy Living – This shop in downtown Kelowna has such cute home decor. I scored this awesome print of Kelowna a few years ago and it’s one of my favourite home items.
Mosaic Books – Just last week I ordered a game from Mosaic Books for my mom’s birthday and did a safe curbside pickup. They have a great selection of books, games and puzzles, as well as some home items.
BEAUTY
Smooth Effects Kelowna – Thank god for Smooth Effects. If you are in need of skincare products, you can message them on Instagram to organize free delivery to your door right now. When they reopen, I will be the first person in there getting a HyrdaFacial!
KELOWNA RESTAURANTS
Central Bar & Kitchen – Central has the BEST burgers in town. I can’t wait to enjoy one when they reopen.
Jack’s Pizza – Jack’s is currently collaborating with Salt & Brick and offering curbside pickup. The question is, pizza or the Okanagan’s Hot Chicken Sandwich for dinner?! And when they reopen – Fried Bocconcini – you’re welcome.
Dunnenzies – Pizza for takeout and delivery! They have so many great pizzas to choose from.
Sprout Bread Shop – Get your bread fix! You can pick up your favourite bread, coffee and sandwiches.
Taki – My favourite sushi in town! The Crispy Crunch Roll is amazing. Taki is offering takeout and delivery.
PETS
Tail Blazers – Odie is so grateful that Tail Blazers is offering no-contact curbside pickup and delivery right now! We get Odie’s raw food, treats and bones from Tail Blazers, and occasionally a new toy when he’s a really good boy!
Dogzies Pet Services – We take Odie to regular training at Dogzies. Currently, they have paused Group Training, but Odie is still attending his Dayschool and we can’t wait to get back to Group Training!
