Valentine’s Day is in two days.. how did that creep up on me?! If you’re like me and you need some last minute Valentine’s Day ideas, I’m going to do my best to provide!
+ Order in from your favourite restaurant – You may not be able to get a table if you plan to go out for Valentine’s dinner if you haven’t made a reservation, especially with limited seating at most dining options. The next best option is to order takeout or delivery and set up a special little dinner at home.
+ Last Minute Staycation – With tourism suffering, local hotels are also feeling a strain these days. It could be fun to book a last minute room at a nearby hotel, support a local business and have some quality time with your partner. Pop onto Expedia and since what’s available right now!
+ Share a drink and reminisce – Make your favourite cocktail or mocktail and settle in on the couch to remember your favourite memories together. Kirby and I love to chat about our past Disney trips, when we first met and that one time on Canada Day… This is a great, inexpensive way to keep your Valentine’s Day simple and focused on the two of you.
+ DIY Valentine’s Day cards – Like you’re back in elementary school! I think this is such a cute idea. Just grab some coloured paper, markers and maybe some stickers and make some cute little DIY Valentine’s to leave around the house for your sweetie.
It might be a bit late to be ordering gifts, but in these COVID times, I’m sure everyone expects gifts to be late anyway, right? I did put together a little Valentine’s Day gift guide for someone special in your life if you’re still looking for the perfect gift.
Personally, I’m not one to go all out on Valentine’s Day, but I do think it can be nice to celebrate your love with some of these last minute Valentine’s Day ideas.
