I don’t know about you guys, but I am so ready for 2021! I’m also ready to wipe the slate clean and start fresh with resolutions for the new year ahead.
I’ll be honest, I failed miserably with my 2020 resolutions. Life happened and kind of derailed a lot of my plans. The only goal that I really achieved was working out 3-4 days a week for most of the year. Oh well, there is lots of room for improvement.
This year, I want to be the best partner, dog mom, business owner and blogger that I can be and really invest in my growth. After a wonderful holiday season, I’m ready to dive into a new routine.
Here are my 2021 resolutions:
+ Dive into home decor + design – We’ve completed all of the major renovations in our home and now it’s time to really dive into the design and decor. I’m looking forward to completing our space with furniture, fixtures, window treatments and decor.
+ Take my business to the next level – I have heavily invested in my blog over the last few weeks and I am determined to take my business to the next level in 2021. I have some exciting collaborations in the works and a new category coming soon to the blog.
+ Stress less about money – I am grateful that I have never really had a reason to stress about money, yet I still do. I’m an obsessive budgeter and look at my accounts daily. This year, I know that I need to give myself some space with that and let go of the stress a bit.
+ Be more tidy – I really need to work on this one. I am quite messy and need to work on keeping my space more tidy. My goal will be to focus on keeping surfaces clean and tidying a few times throughout the day.
+ Produce higher quality content – One thing that I really want to work on in 2021 is creating higher quality content. I want to improve some features on my blog, improve the photo quality that I share on Instagram and not settle just to get a post up.
+ Remember that life is for living – So cheesy, but this was the message that I took from watching the new Pixar movie, Soul. I need to remember to slow down, take a break from pursuing my goals now and then and just move, breathe, see, taste and listen. I can get very caught up in working and hustling, and I want to take more time this year to just enjoy what’s right in front of me. My favourite way to do this is hiking with Odie, but I hope to find a few more ways to unplug and live in 2021.
