I have been stocking up on Spring essentials like good denim, linen shorts and comfy sweatshirts, but I have neglected my need for new Spring shoes!
I have never been much of a shoe lover and I definitely don’t have a closet full of footwear, but no outfit is really complete without a good pair of shoes! Personally, I need to expand my collection and add some staples to my wardrobe this Spring.
It’s time to give my trusty Havaianas a break and invest in these five Spring shoe trends that I’m loving right now.
Nike Air Force 1 Platform Sneaker // Converse Platform Sneaker // Sam Edelman Woven Mules // Dolce Vita Woven Mules // Vince Camuto Pointed Toe Booties // Steve Madden Pointed Toe Booties // Billabong Platform Sandals // Steve Madden Platform Sandals // Schutz Clear Strap Sandals // Steve Madden Clear Strap Sandals
Platform Sneakers
For the last few Spring seasons, I’ve grabbed my Classic Vans or Converse more times than I can count. This season, I’m really feeling the platform sneaker trend! The Nike Air Force 1 Platform Sneakers come in TONS of colours for easy pairing with any outfit. I also love the Converse Platform Sneakers for a classic, casual look.
Woven Mules
This trend just screams ‘Spring’ to me. Woven mules are a perfect style to pair with many Spring outfits, and they look great with a good pair of denim or a flirty dress. I’m digging the cognac Sam Edelman mules, as I think that colour pairs well with lots of Spring styles, and I like the beachy vibe of the Dolce Vita pair!
Pointed Toe Booties
This is a classic style for any season, really. I have been wanting to invest in a light neutral pair of pointed toe booties for FOREVER. This Vince Camuto woven pair is so cute for Spring. I also love these Steve Madden booties, which have a very similar look and cut out to my go-to SM Neena booties.
Platform Sandals
Okay, this one is a bit out there for me. The platform sandal is not a style that I would typically gravitate to, but I am feeling it this Spring! I like the chunky platform of this Billabong pair and the mix of the clear strap and the espadrille-style on this Steve Madden pair is so fun! I would wear these with denim or linen shorts and a cropped tee.
Clear Strap Sandals
I’ve heard that clear straps make your legs look longer, and I could definitely use that illusion to my advantage (lol). I like the fancy heels with clear straps, but for my Spring wardrobe, I’m looking for a flat sandal with clear straps and a fun stud or jewel detail. My tops choices so far are this style by Schutz and this gladiator style by Steve Madden.
Stay tuned for my Spring Clothing Haul post coming soon to see what I’m paring these Spring shoe trends with!
